Complainant Survey: Information on Demographic and Self-Identification, Legal Status, and Socio-Economic Situation
We want to hear from you!
To better understand and address human rights issues in Canada, we are asking each person who has filed a complaint with the Commission to complete a short survey. We want to know how identity and socioeconomic factors have an impact on the complainants’ ability to access and go through the complaints process. Your responses will help inform how we can improve our human rights processes to serve the needs of people in Canada.
Your participation in this survey is voluntary. This short survey takes on average 7 minutes to complete. Participation does not affect your complaint, or any decision made by the Commission with respect to your complaint. The Commission keeps responses to these questions separate from your complaint file.
The Commission gathers information submitted in this survey in accordance with the Privacy Act. Any identifiable or private information will remain confidential.
